Youth Center Rules and Values
Age Limit –
Open to all youth ages 10 through 17 years old. Parents and families of youth may visit for a limited time, if necessary, for check-in and check-out. No other adults are permitted on site for an extended period of time unless they have been background checked and previous arrangements have been made.
Dress Code –
No revealing or provocative clothing.
Footwear and shirts are required at all times.
Staff and volunteers, alone, have the right to determine what is appropriate.
Health and Safety –
No alcohol, cigarettes, tobacco, illicit drugs, or drug paraphernalia allowed.
No weapons (of any kind), fireworks, explosives, or laser pointers allowed.
If any of these items are brought, staff and volunteers have the right to take items and return to parent or guardian.
Behavior –
Inappropriate or derogatory language will not be tolerated.
No fighting, bullying, intimidation, or threats.
Male-Female contact may be limited depending on activity.
Skating, biking, running, or wrestling is not allowed inside the property.
We will ensure that everyone respects the property/equipment and treat it with care.
Obey the Staff and Volunteers –
Respect for the staff and volunteers is mandatory.
Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the property. Staff may refuse entrance to anyone if inappropriate behavior continues.
Responsibilities –
Each youth must check in immediately upon arrival.
Each youth is responsible for their own property (including bikes, skates, and other personal items).
Values –
All youth will respect others and property.
All youth will work as a team, at times, and learn to encourage each other’s strengths and support each other in their weaknesses.
It is crucial that we are all safe so that we can return each time.
